Dress Code

General:

Current standards in corporate/executive office attire are the general rule for dress throughout the Club. For men, jackets are expected but no ties are required. For women, tailored pants, skirts, etc. that would be defined as “smart business casual” are acceptable.

In all cases and at all times, admittance of members or their guests to any facility or function (private or general) at the Saskatoon Club is solelyat the discretion of the General Manager or designate. Please feel welcome to contact The Club before arriving (652-1780) should you have any questions or concerns.

Denim of any colour is not allowed other than The Barr (lower lounge).

Sneakers, athletic wear, shorts, t-shirts, etc. are not permitted at any time, other than in the Fitness Centre.

The Barr (Lower Lounge)

Dress code is more relaxed, as in a “Casual Friday at the office” style Denim is allowed. Please, no sneakers, athletic wear, t-shirts, etc.

Summer Dress Code:

In effect from Victoria Day to Labour Day.

Jackets not required

Tailored summer shorts are permitted in The Barr only.

Private Functions:

Members and their guests at private functions are expected to follow the general dress codes for the area in which the function is held.

House Courtesies

Cell Phones

Members are required to turn off their cell phones in the Library dining room as a gesture of respect for other members. Cellular calls may be taken or made in the waiting area of the main floor or at one of two telephone desks located in the upper and main floor sitting areas.

Business Materials

Members are required to refrain from opening briefcases or business materials in the Library dining room. If you require access to business materials during your time at the club please request the use of one of our meeting salons.

Smoking

In accordance with City bylaws smoking is forbidden in any area of the Club. In addition smoking is not permitted in the courtyard immediately in front of the entrance to the Club. Smokers are asked to remain outside the Club entrance gate.

Complaints

Members are requested to refrain from correcting, criticizing, or complaining to staff. Members should forward complaints and suggestions to the General Manager, or any member of the Board of Directors.

Club Event Cancellation

In order to ensure that members have a fair opportunity to participate and attend the popular events scheduled by the Events Committee, the following policy applies to event cancellations.

Less than 2 working days notice – The cancellation fee will be 50% of the event price, unless the space is resold, in which case the Club at its discretion, may waive part of the cancellation fee. In the event that the purchase of third party tickets are part of the event the entire cost of the ticket price will be charged.

At the Club’s discretion, there will be no charge for a member who cancels due to special circumstances.
